USA:
Controversial lyrics lead to concert cancellation

The British punk rock band Gallows were removed from the bill of The House Of Blues in California due to offence taken to their lyrics by the family-friendly owner of the venue, the Walt Disney Company.

The British punk rock band Gallows were scheduled to support California punk monarchs Social Distortion on 22 January 2008 at a concert venue called The House Of Blues, located in Disneyland, Anaheim, Orange County in California. But their gig was allegedly cancelled after Disney executives heard the group's debut album, 'Orchestra Of Wolves' and got worried that the controversial lyrics could offend visitors.

The venue, The House Of Blues, is situated at a shopping and eating area called Down Town Disney which is on the same grounds as Disneyland.

Gallow's guitarist Laurent Barnard was quoted as saying: "That kind of stuff happens a lot."
