Be continously updated with news from Freemuse

Get the news as we publish them. Recieve all the latest news
about music censorship directly into a news-reader on your
MySpace-site, Facebook-profile, or even in a corner of your
computer's desktop with Freemuse's RSS news feed.


'RSS' stands for 'Really Simple Syndication'.

The instructions about how to do it are listed below
– depending on how and where you would like the news
to be provided to you.

Freemuse's news-flow is piped into a special display in an automated manner – with a short summary of the latest headlines from freemuse.org. It makes it possible for you to keep up with news on freemuse.org. by letting the programme display the news for you.

  Activate the news feed in my browser

On PC
Both the Firefox and the Internet Explorer browser has
a built-in RSS news feed-reader. All you need to do is
to activate it. 

First, find the RSS-icon:


In Internet Explorer...
You find the RSS-icon in the toolbar:  ie rss icon


In Firefox...

You find the RSS-icon in the address-bar:  Firefox rss icon


Click on the RSS-icon on this page.
This will send you to the actual feed page.

Here, you can subscribe to the Freemuse news feed
and from then it will be displayed in your
browser’s toolbar.

On Mac
The lastest versions of Safari and Firefox similarly
have an excellent built-in interface for RSS news feeds.
The icon is displayed in the address field. Click it, and
subscribe to the Freemuse news feed.





  On my Google desktop

Google has developed a programme which places a sidebar with editable content on your desktop. The sidebar is divided into "gadgets". We have developed a Freemuse News gadget for you (PC-users only), ready to download and install.

  iGoogle

Google has a feature that makes it possible to change the normal Google front page and add various content. If you have a Google account, follow the link below to add continously updated news from Freemuse on the page.

   Facebook

It is easy to add an RSS news feed-reader on your Facebook profile. Get it here (by clicking on 'Add application' in the top right column on the page).

Once you have added the RSS application to your profile, you must insert this particular code-line, called a 'feed-URL', into the RSS application, in order to recieve the Freemuse news on the front page of your Facebook profile.

Highlight the code line below, copy it, and then paste it into your Facebook RSS application:



Note: There are several types of RRS news-readers available for Facebook.





  MySpace

Just like with Facebook, all you have to do is to install an RSS reader in your MySpace 'home' and then use the 'feed-URL' in the box above. (Copy and paste it).

Find the box called 'Applications', click on 'Get Apps', then search 'RSS Reader' (you write RSS Reader in the search field), and finally click on the name, RSS Reader.
