Primal Scream change title and lyrics
As reported in April, Primal Scream’s new album looked set to be banned in the US – for featuring their controversial song ‘Bomb The Pentagon’. The song, a bitter attack on US foreign policy, now has a new title (‘Rise’ ) and totally different lyrics.
Lead singer Bobby Gillespie refused to comment specifically on ‘Rise’ and why they had changed the lyrics. "There’s a song called ‘Rise’, there’s no song called ‘Bomb The Pentagon’, that’s the best way to put it."
