Ade Bantu

Ade Bantu is a Nigerian-German musician, cultural curator, and film producer whose three-decade career champions artistic freedom, cultural diversity, and social impact. He is the frontman of the award-winning Afrobeat ensemble BANTU, founder of the Afro-German collective Brothers Keepers, and creator of Afropolitan Vibes, Lagos’s leading live music festival. He is the Director of Catharsis Arts Foundation Nigeria, an NGO that promotes arts education and empowers women and girls. Ade has also served on the board of the Music In Africa Foundation and was the artistic director of the 2025 Afrobeat Meets Classical concert at Germany’s Beethoven Festival. As a producer and curator, Ade has created films, documentaries, and multimedia projects for Jameson, WDR, and Deutsche Welle, and produced the acclaimed Statues Also Breathe exhibition by French sculptor Prune Nourry. He continues to tour internationally, develop new film projects, and create new music with BANTU.
